Seed Archive
Photographs

Studio photographs of wild native seeds collected during fieldwork in Northern Ostrobothnia and Lapland.

Each seed is photographed close up, against a plain ground.

The seeds are gathered as part of seed-based restoration work, in which local plant populations are strengthened and new habitats established. The archive records them at the point between collecting and sowing, when they are still dormant.

The archive currently holds 836 photographs of around 100 species.
